Chiranjeevi says he is unlike other politicians

Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi today (Nov 22) promised to walk the talk if elected to power, unlike other political parties. “I don’t know how to speak like a politician. I would show the difference in action, rather than making a tall talk,” he said, addressing road shows in Kadapa district on the fifth day of his road show in Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

He continued to draw huge crowds in Kadapa, the native district and bastion of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

The mega star’s convoy inched its way through the small towns of Rayalaseema region as people thronged the road side meetings and cheered their hero.

Seeking to reach out to the people, he promised to provide cold storage units and facilities to take care of the onion crop in the region.

“This town (Mydukur) is famous for its onions. Despite producing such good quality onions, farmers have not been able to get remunerative prices. This is because of the sheer negligence of the governments,” he said.

Chiranjeevi’s road shows have been a big hit in coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions.

This has prompted his admirers to assert that he will re-create the magic of legendary hero late NTR, who had stormed to power within nine months of forming Telugu Desam Party in 1983.
