Praja Rajyam

The housing minister, Botsa Satyanarayana, claimed Praja Rajyam founder Chiranjeevi drew less crowds at his roadshows. The minister said this addressing party leaders and activists at a meeting organised by the District Congress Committee here on Wednesday. “Because Chiranjeevi came all the way from Hyderabad, he made some allegations and criticised others. As a national party, we need not respond to his allegations,” he remarked.  He asked the activists and leaders to go to villages and educate them about the government’s welfare schemes and ensure their proper implementation.”There is no threat to the Congress due to the Praja Rajyam. The Congress will come to power in the next elections because of its pro-poor and pro-farmer policies. There is no doubt the Telugu Desam will be affected badly,” the minister said adding that he was surprised to note that the local Telugu Desam leaders were talking about corruption in the Congress government.  He said that the third round of Indiramma Sambaralu would be organised across the state from Thursday, and said that over 25 lakh houses and 18 lakh pensions would be disbursed across the state to those who deserved it. He said that the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities would be brought down in a couple of days. The meeting was presided over by the MLC Mr V.V. Rama Rao.-DC
