Chiru demands what C M did for his birth place

HYDERABAD: Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi on Monday dared Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to spell out what he did for his birthplace Balapanur in Kadapa district. At a press conference to announce the entry of former Union Minister P. Upendra into the PR, he wondered why Dr. Reddy was repeatedly criticising him and asking him what he had done for Mogalturu, his (Chiranjeevi’s) native village. “Dr. Reddy was born in Balapanur, but migrated to Pulivendula. He may have developed Pulivendula, but if I ask him to say what he has done for his native place, what will he reply?”, he asked. Given the PR president’s obsession with ‘Gandhigiri’ and decency, decorum and etiquette in politics, this is the first time he has directly taken the name of the Chief Minister, that too, after he has been repeatedly criticised on several occasions. Referring specifically to the flak he got for twirling his moustache and slapping his thigh like he did in the superhit movie ‘Indra’ in Kadapa district, Mr. Chiranjeevi said these actions were signs of a man’s ‘pourusham’ (courage) but not ‘rowdyism or goondaism’. He recalled that Mahatma Gandhi had a lot of ‘pourusham’. The PR president also defended the party welcoming seniors into its fold, saying they were joining hands not with any aspirations for a position or power but only expressing their concern for the poor and deprived sections – The Hindu

Attack on Chiranjeevi is Blessings of God Says Astrologers

Megastar Chiranjeevi when he was in tour some miscreants threw eggs at him during ‘Praja Ankita’ yatra has been incurring a huge round of protests from the followers of Chiru and the Praja Rajyam Party members. However, this is a blessing say the astrologers.  According to their formula, the sixth house (house of enemies) of Chiru is said to be quite active and this comprises of the ruling planet Jupiter, so whatever ploys the enemies will use to bring down or defame Chiru will actually be blessing in disguise for him and get him much closer to victory so the eggs that were thrown at him will eventually be converted into lakhs of votes.  It is heard that even his rivals and opponents were empathizing with Chiru for his experience and those who are planning some further instances of belittling Chiru, hope they read this article before they venture out with their pack of eggs or any other stuff.

Like Obama, I will make history in AP: Chiranjeevi

HYDERABAD: Actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi has claimed that the vote for change that marked the outcome of the US presidential elections will be  repeated in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections scheduled early next year.

Chiranjeevi, whose campaign is focussed on change and social justice, told gatherings during his roadshow in Khammam district that the people in the state were “disillusioned” with successive governments and were yearning for change and ushering in a new political culture.

“Like Americans, who created history by voting overwhelmingly in favour of change and social justice, our people will repeat the same message,” the actor said on the concluding day of his second leg of mass contact programme covering Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammamcts in Telangana region.

Like Barack Obama who mesmerised Americans with his promise of change, the matinee idol of Telugu cinema has been emphasising that he will herald a change.

“I have no personal agenda. The people’s agenda is my agenda. The people want change, a change that will lead to a positive political culture and improvement in their living standard”, he said.
